M'sia woman says son's haircut looks like it was 'chewed by dog', hairstylists apologise by shaving bald
Bold apology.
After a Malaysian woman complained in a viral Facebook post that a haircut her son got at a salon made his hair look like it was "chewed up by dogs", its hairstylists shaved their own heads to make up for the mistake.
Shaving in sincerity
According to Sin Chew Daily, the mother, detailing the experience on social media, said that she brought her son to a hair salon in Kulai, Malaysia.
However, she found the resulting haircut less than satisfactory, and cautioned others to avoid the salon.

Following the public complaint, the salon in question, Solasta Professional Salon, responded with an apology and demonstrated their sincerity by having their hairstylists shave their heads bald.
In a one-minute Facebook video on Nov. 20, four hairstylists could be seen taking the shaver to their heads.
One of them could also be seen in tears.
One of the salon's founders also said in the video: "As a founder, I will take responsibility for the incident."
They also announced that until the end of the month, they will not charge customers at their Kulai outlet if they are unsatisfied with their haircut.

Heartfelt apology from founder
Another of its founders, Jayniss Teo, posted an elaborate apology on Nov. 19.
Teo shared that having customers leave their salons unsatisfied was the last thing they wanted, and that the salon will take responsibility for what happened.
However, she also poured her heart out over the difficulties of running a hair salon business in Johor.
Apart from it being a competitive industry and having to deal with rising costs, she pointed out that training a new generation of hairstylists was a huge challenge.
This was even more so in Johor, she explained.
"Often, the people we train end up leaving to work in Singapore," Teo continued.
"We have already reflected on what happened and taken steps to improve our internal processes and re-train our staff," Teo wrote.
She thanked members of the public for their comments and apologised to the parent who made the complaint.
The salon has reached out to the customer, and the mother has since taken down her post, Sin Chew Daily wrote.
