M'sian man, 40, gets 30 years' jail for murder & rape of 9-month-old baby boy
Evidence was found in the baby boy's large intestine.

A 40-year-old unemployed Malaysian man was sentenced to 30 years of prison and 13 strokes of the cane on Nov. 21, for raping, sodomising and murdering a nine-month-old baby boy.
Traces of Mohamed Badruldin Mohamed's DNA and semen were found in the infant’s large intestine and anus.
The baby boy was under his wife, a babysitter's care, reported Free Malaysia Today.
The case facts confirmed that “smothering was determined to be the cause of death”.
The case
Badruldin's wife Norhidayah Ab Hamid was a home-based babysitter, operating from an apartment in Subang, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
The crime occurred between 8am to 3:30pm on Apr. 27, 2021.
Badruldin's wife was sweeping outside their residence at the time, according to Bernama.
That evening, Norhidayah rushed the unconscious baby to Sungai Buloh Hospital before contacting the infant victim's mother.
Despite resuscitation attempts by doctors and nurses, the baby boy was declared dead at 12:18pm the following day, reported Free Malaysia Today.
Murderer to serve custodial sentences concurrently
According to Free Malaysia Today, Badruldin received 10 years and one stroke for the charge of sodomy, and 30 years and 12 strokes for the charge of murder.
The Shah Alam High Court ordered that he serve his custodial sentences concurrently starting from his arrest on Apr. 29, 2021.
Sungai Buloh Hospital forensics specialist, Rohayu Shahar Adnan established that a blunt object caused the baby's anal injuries.
On May 12, 2021, Badruldin was charged under Sections 302 and 377C of Malaysia's Penal Code for murdering and sodomising the infant.
Mother's heartbreaking thoughts
Robiatul’ Adawiah Aziz, the mother of the infant shared her thoughts on the sentencing in a Facebook post.
"This world is too cruel for my heavenly child."
She continued,
“After four years of patiently waiting for the decision on whether you are guilty or not, you have finally been sentenced.
Before this, you did not admit that you did it. When I heard the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) say there was semen in my child’s anus, oh god, the world is dark."
She further stated that the sentencing was not enough to atone for his crimes, reported The Star.
