Lorry crashes into shophouse after accident with car at Jalan Besar, 2 drivers, 35 & 42, taken to hospital
Both drivers were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
Two people were taken to the hospital after a traffic accident between a lorry and a car occurred along Jalan Besar on Nov. 25.
Responding to queries fromĀ Mothership, an Singapore Police Force (SPF) spokesperson said that the police was alerted to the accident at the junction of Jalan Besar and Rowell Road at about 4:20pm on Nov. 25.
A 35-year-old male lorry driver and a 42-year-old male car driver were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the Singapore Civil Defence Force toldĀ Mothership that one was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng General Hospital while the other was sent to Raffles Hospital.
In a TikTok video of the accident, a lorry could be seen mounted on a footway.
A pillar appeared damaged, and debris could be seen littered around the vehicle.
The lorry's windshield was shattered, dislodged and on the ground, along with a probationary plate.
A white car with a partially crushed front bumper could also be seen on the road nearby.

Several passersby were seen at the accident site with their phone cameras out.
The accident appeared to have taken place opposite Berseh Food Centre along Jalan Besar.
Police investigations are ongoing.
