Amos Yee, 27, detained by ICE in US after being released less than a week ago
He was released on parole on Nov. 20.
Singaporean Amos Yee, 27, is currently in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody and is being held at Dodge Detention Facility in Wisconsin, according to the ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
This was after he was released on parole on Nov. 20, less than a week ago.
Yee was previously held under the Illinois Department of Corrections.
It is unclear when Yee was detained by ICE, but the Online Detainee Locator System is described as portal that is meant to locate a detainee who is currently in ICE custody or who has been in U.S. Customs and Border Protection's custody for more than 48 hours.

A check on the U.S. Justice Department's Executive Office for Immigration Review, which handles deportation proceedings, indicated that no information was available for Yee.
ICE's portal also did not have information on court hearing dates for Yee.
On its website, ICE writes that it detains "aliens" who are subject to mandatory detention or those that ICE determines are a public safety or flight risk during the custody determination process.
Yee fled Singapore in 2016 before a scheduled medical ahead of his compulsory national service enlistment.
He later sought and was granted asylum in the U.S., but was sent to jail after being convicted of child pornography and child sex-related grooming charges in December 2021.
He was later released on parole on Oct. 7, 2023, but was detained again in November 2023.
Responding to queries from Mothership, Singapore's Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said that Yee will be charged upon his return under the Enlistment Act for failing to report for his pre-enlistment medical screening and for remaining outside the country without a valid exit permit.
Enlistment Act offenders are liable on conviction to a fine of up to S$10,000 and/or imprisonment of up to three years.
Mindef also said it is unable to comment on whether there have been discussions between the U.S. and Singapore authorities regarding Amos Yee’s deportation following his release from prison.
