Female pillion rider, 40, sent to hospital after AYE accident involving motorcycle & car
A person was seen lying on the ground after the accident.
A 40-year-old female motorcycle pillion rider was sent to the hospital after an accident involving a motorcycle and a car along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Oct. 28.
Photos shared online showed the accident occurred near the Clementi Avenue 6 exit.
Injuries
In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed that they were alerted to the accident at 7:30am, along the AYE towards the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said a person was conveyed conscious to the National University Hospital.
Aftermath
A motorcycle was seen on its side on the extreme left lane in the aftermath of the accident.
Two helmets, one of them placed on a rectangular thermal bag, could be seen next to the motorcycle.
A car was stationary with its boot up at a distance in front of the motorcycle.
A woman was also seen attending to a person lying on the ground, next to two other people who appeared to have stopped to render assistance.
Investigations
The police added that a 52-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
