Get free 10-minute shoulder massages by visually impaired masseurs at 2 MRT stations
The public can sign up for two subsequent sessions at Tanjong Pagar station and Shenton Way station on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 respectively.
Commuters can now take a break before taking the MRT home after work by enjoying a complimentary 10-minute shoulder massage by hired professionals from the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH).
Jointly launched by SMRT Trains and SAVH, this "first-of-its-kind" initiative was rolled out on Oct. 24 at at Kent Ridge MRT station.

Dubbed "Reflexology On-the-Go", the initiative is part of SMRT's move to "enhance vibrancy and enrich the commuter experience across its network".
There will be two more massage sessions at Tanjong Pagar station and Shenton Way station on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 respectively.
Each session will offer 38 massage slots, in a symbolic nod to SMRT's 38 years of service.

Interested commuters can sign up for a slot on a first-come, first-served basis here (Tanjong Pajar station) and here (Shenton Way station).
"By partnering with SAVH, we hope to create meaningful employment for visually impaired masseurs while offering commuters a refreshing way to relieve stress," said the president of SMRT Trains, Lam Sheau Kai.
More Health@Station Kiosks
Also announced on Oct. 24, SMRT will be expanding the Health@Station Kiosk to four additional MRT stations on the Circle Line — Kent Ridge, Labrador Park, one-north and Tai Seng.
Initially launched in August 2024 at Tanjong Pagar station, the kiosks include blood pressure monitors and Body Mass Index (BMI) checkers, allowing commuters to conveniently check their basic health.
