JB murder-suicide case: Man reportedly stabs ex-girlfriend to death in Mount Austin before taking own life

A man allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death in Malaysia before killing himself.
Sin Chew Daily reported that both were foreigners. According to The Star, both were from Myanmar.
The incident occurred on the night on Oct. 20 in Johor Bahru's Austin area.
Two dead
According to Johor Bahru South District Police, the incident occurred at around 7:40pm.
The police chief said the foreign woman, 33, was found dead at the scene with stab and scratch marks.
A foreign man, suspected to be the woman's ex-boyfriend, was also found dead at the scene.
He reportedly committed suicide after allegedly stabbing her at a workers' hostel.
Two injured
According to Sin Chew Daily, a 23-year-old foreign woman and a 27-year-old Malaysian man were injured in the incident and are being treated in the hospital.
They were reportedly trying to stop the foreign man from attacking the female victim.
Police are investigating the case as murder. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
