What's the worst thing that can happen if you parked illegally in another country?

Not getting a fine, but getting hit on the side out of nowhere, it seems.

That was what happened to a Singapore-registered car illegally parked along the double yellow line in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

A Malaysia-registered car was seen going over a kerb and drain and hitting the stationary vehicle parked by the side of the road.

The incident on Oct. 20 at 1:45pm was shared by the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page.

The incident occurred at Jalan Serampang, which is a popular tourist spot for Singaporeans.

Following the incident, members of the public and another driver approached the two vehicles to check on the situation.

Responses

Some online commenters on the video asked if there was any recourse for the Singapore car driver.

Those who replied said it is generally quite difficult to claim insurance for such freak accidents, especially if the other party involved is a foreign vehicle.

Moreover, the Singapore car was illegally parked by the left-most lane of the three-lane road at the time of the incident.
