Overhead bridge near former Guillemard Camp along Dunman Road to be demolished
A section of Dunman Road will be temporarily closed to traffic on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, from 1:30am to 5am.
A section of Dunman Road will be temporarily closed to traffic for a 3.5-hour period on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, from 1:30am to 5am, to facilitate the demolition of a pedestrian overhead bridge near the former Guillemard Camp.
The affected section is between the cross junction of Tanjong Katong Road and the T-junction of Jalan Dua.
The overhead bridge's removal is due to a traffic light-controlled pedestrian crossing having been implemented in the vicinity since Oct. 6.
The pedestrian overhead bridge is no longer required and will be removed, the Housing and Development Board (HDB) said on Oct. 21 in a news release.
During the road closure, motorists heading to Dunman Road are advised to use Tanjong Katong Road as an alternative route, and Cassia Link via Guillemard Road to reach Old Airport Road.
One lane along Dunman Road will remain open for public buses until the last bus service ends.
Details on the temporary road closure and diversion routes have been made public.
Barricades and diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists, HDB added.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the information signs displayed.
