US influencer films himself trespassing into MBS infinity pool, says 'we ain't paying that' when told it's for hotel guests
He made it.
A U.S.-based influencer apparently trespassed into the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands (MBS), filmed his dubious escapades, and posted about it on TikTok.
Kaz Sawyer, who is 24 and has 8.7 million followers on the platform, shared the video on Oct. 19.
It has since gotten over 350,000 views and 30,000 likes.

"We ain't paying that"
Sawyer called the infinity pool "Singapore's most exclusive rooftop pool".
The SkyPark Infinity Pool is located on the 57th floor of MBS and is accessible only to hotel guests.
He was told as such by the hotel concierge, who added that without being an in-house guest, "the closest is the rooftop bar".
He asked: "So we can see it, but we just can't swim in it?"
When the concierge confirmed this, he told the camera: "We ain't paying that."
A search by Mothership found that rooms at MBS are priced from S$680 a night.

Sneaking into the pool
To get around the rule, Sawyer made a "very expensive reservation" at the Cé La Vi rooftop bar, to get "as close to the pool as possible".
The pool, he noticed, was guarded by four security staff.

He first attempted to get some hotel guests to sneak them in, but failed.
He then discovered a staff entrance, and "jumped over the side" of the barrier when nobody was looking.
"Finally, we made it to the pool, and the view did not disappoint," he said.
"Mission accomplished."

Not allowed
Commenters on the TikTok pointed out that their actions amounted to trespassing, and could get them prosecuted or banned.
Others accused the influencer of staging the whole act.
"He probably paid already, but just acted like he didn't," one commenter said.
Sawyer did not respond to Mothership's queries on whether he had in fact trespassed on the property.
In response to Mothership's queries, an MBS spokesperson said they are aware of the incident.
"We would like to remind all visitors that only hotel guests are permitted to use the infinity pool, and we will not hesitate to take appropriate measures against persons who knowingly trespass on our property," the spokesperson said.
