Israeli man, 34, allegedly steals temple donations, says he didn't know envelopes had money
The "I didn't know" defence.
A 34-year-old Israeli man allegedly stole offerings meant for a temple after he was dissatisfied with a one-hour massage in Thailand.
According to local media reports, the man, identified as Bar, demanded a refund after receiving a one-hour Thai massage.
However, the masseuse pointed out that this was not possible as he had already had the massage.
The massage cost 300 baht (S$11.88).
Bar then grabbed a stack of envelopes from the counter and ran out.
The masseuse ran after him and shouted for help.
Bar was eventually apprehended.
Khaosod English reported Bar saying he did not realise there was money inside the envelopes.
Investigations are ongoing.
