A police report revealed the man used to be a director of three companies in India that had all ceased operations, Bangkok Post reported.

A video of the incident has been shared online.

He was apparently seen shouting at passers-by and those in the vicinity.

Police and security guards tried to keep the man under control, but he apparently disobeyed and threatened them with an object in his hand.

It subsequently turned out that the object was a gun-shaped cigarette lighter.
