Singapore's largest funeral complex has set its sights on the next frontier.
They are launching an outer space memorial, on their China innovative commercial satellite partner’s trip to space.
The package comes with these new participatory experiences:
Witness the Launch Moment – Families may attend the live rocket launch after completing regulatory approval procedures.
Real-Time Orbit Tracking – Families can track the satellite’s position through a dedicated app and receive real-time viewing alerts.
Interstellar Experiential Journey – Families can visit the Satellite Research Base and attend a “Starry Memory Sharing Session” at Shanghai Mu Yun Ji Academy, with commemorative content stored aboard the satellite.
The service will feature three "star boxes" ranging in price from S$18,888 to S$158,000:

These boxes will then be part of China AirSat Technology Group's trip to space.
The launch window will be from September to December.

Woodlands Memorial said that personal mementoes (such as hair, nails, letters, or photos) or a small portion of ashes transformed into memorial keepsakes like life gems or diamonds may be sent into space, while the remaining ashes may be used for traditional rites and interred at Woodlands Memorial.
Jason Poh, CEO of Woodlands Memorial, said they will be the first in Singapore to "offer families a chance to celebrate the lives of their loved ones beyond Earth," and that it served as a reminder that love "knows no boundaries" not even "the boundaries of our planet".
"Every shooting star could remind a family of the love they once shared," Poh added.
