A Singaporean man has been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand along with three Thai women for trafficking vapes laced with etomidate.
The 33-year-old man was arrested together with his Thai girlfriend, 24, at a luxury condominium in Bangkok's district of Din Daeng.
130 vapes and more than a million baht in cash were also seized, according to Thai media Khaosod English.
The man, who was only identified as Tommy by Thai media, faces a charge of trafficking Category 2 narcotics and another charge of overstaying his visa.
Etomidate was classified as a Category 2 narcotic in Bangkok in July 2025 in light of its abuse in vapes.
Singaporean's arrest followed the initial arrest of two Thai women
The Singaporean's arrest followed the arrest of two Thai women, aged 22 and 27, at another condominium in Bangkok's Huai Khwang district.
The two women confessed to selling vapes at around 1,800 to 2,000 baht (S$72 to S$80), and delivering about 50 to 100 vapes to clients daily.
Other items seized during their arrest included a BMW vehicle.
In total, 150 vapes, ketamine and assets worth more than 8.3 million baht (S$331,000) were seized from both arrests.
