S'pore man, 44, arrested after crashing into traffic light trying to flee police
Driver was arrested for drink-driving and driving under disqualification.
A black BMW crashed into a traffic light along Sims Way on Sep. 13, knocking down the pole.
In a TikTok video, the car mounted the curb and crashed headfirst into the pole.
Airbags were deployed, and the front of the car was visibly damaged.

Driver arrested
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that traffic police officers were patrolling along Beach Road on Sep. 13 at 1:45am when they signalled for a car to stop.
However, the car sped off and crashed into a traffic light at the junction of Nicoll Highway and Sims Way.
A 44-year-old male driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
The driver was subsequently arrested for drink-driving and driving under disqualification.
Police investigations are ongoing, said SPF.
