Driver arrested

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that traffic police officers were patrolling along Beach Road on Sep. 13 at 1:45am when they signalled for a car to stop.

However, the car sped off and crashed into a traffic light at the junction of Nicoll Highway and Sims Way.

A 44-year-old male driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

The driver was subsequently arrested for drink-driving and driving under disqualification.

Police investigations are ongoing, said SPF.
