Grab senior lead in S'pore allegedly claimed to drive better than others even while drunk, texting or 'getting a blowjob'
The person who shared the posts further described himself as "anti-law".
A series of social media posts circulated online on Sep. 24, attributed to a person surnamed Feng.
The posts appear to contain comments suggesting that this Feng had driven while under the influence and expressed dissatisfaction with the newly implemented breathalyser measures.
Internet sleuths soon alleged that the Feng who shared the posts is a senior lead at Grab.
Checks by Mothership showed that the Grab employee Feng has since privated both his Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.
Dissatisfaction with newly implemented breathalyser measures
While the posts are no longer available, screenshots of these posts were archived by people online.
The first screenshot showed Feng reposting a video on the news of a new portable breathalyser being trialled by the Traffic Police in Singapore.
He expressed dissatisfaction with the news.
Claims to drive better while drunk than regular drivers
The next screenshot appears to show a user replying to Feng that the new breathalyser is "good" as it will lessen drunk drivers.
Feng apparently responded to this by saying: "We need less bad drivers - drunk or not is... irrelevant".
He then appears to claim that he drove better "sh*tface wasted while texting and getting a blowjob" than the regular driver.
Anti-law
The third screenshot also contains what appears to be Feng's response to someone who told him he should not be drinking and driving.
Feng appears to suggest a "driving aptitude test" as a "fair and valid" way to decide if one is competent to drive under the influence of alcohol.
He also appears to comment on drink driving laws, saying that it assumes once a person's blood alcohol level passes a certain threshold, that they are incapable of driving safely.
Feng also appeared to describe himself as "anti-law", saying:
"Just coz something is legal/illegal doesn't make it right/wrong - the law is out there to govern the weak and ensure society doesn't fall into chaos but doesn't mean that it's logically sound."
Grab's response
In response to Mothership's enquiry, a spokesperson from Grab said they are aware of the post and are investigating the matter.
"The individual’s personal comments do not represent Grab nor reflect Grab’s views. Safety is at the heart of what we do, and we fully support initiatives that keep everyone on the roads safe, including enforcement against reckless driving," the spokesperson added.
"While we cannot comment on specific Grab employees, Grab upholds and enforces a strict Code of Conduct.
Employees are expected to act responsibly in compliance with our policies and with the law, or face disciplinary action."
