Ex-S'pore Idol judge Ken Lim found guilty of molesting woman, 25, at Hype Records office
The victim met Lim for a work interview.
Former Singapore Idol judge and music producer Ken Lim has been convicted of molesting a 25-year-old woman, reported CNA.
The incident happened in November 2021 at the Hype Records office. The woman was there for a work interview.
The identity of the woman is protected by a gag order.
Lim was the executive director of the company at the time, according to Straits Times (ST).
On Sep. 26, Principal District Judge Lee Lit Cheng found the victim to be "unusually convincing" while Lim was "untruthful".
According to ST, Lee noted that Lim had "jokingly" sent the victim a message saying that he could tie her up.
The judge also rejected the defence's argument that "a lot of contortion" would have been required for Lim to reach in and touch the victim's breast.
Sentencing will take place at a later date.
Five victims
Five women have accused Lim of molestation and insult of modesty.
He was handed a total of seven charges and is contesting each of the victims' allegations in five separate criminal trials.
In December 2024, Lim was acquitted of making sexual comments to a woman back in 2012.
