December Disney cruise from S'pore postponed till March 2026 due to 'unexpected delays' in shipbuilding process
25 sailing dates affected.
Disney's newest cruise ship, Disney Adventure, which will be based in Singapore, has postponed its maiden voyage.
Initially scheduled for Dec. 15, 2025, the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) announced that the Disney Adventure's maiden voyage will be pushed back to Mar. 10, 2026.
In response to Mothership's queries, the president of Disney Signature Experience shared that they have "encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process".
"To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, we've made the decision to adjust our timeline.
We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and we’re working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.”
25 dates scheduled from Dec. 15, 2025, to Mar. 12, 2026, will be affected.
Tickets for the original date of the Disney Adventure's maiden voyage were sold out within the first day of general sales.
Those who have booked
According to an email shared by an affected guest on Xiao Hong Shu, DCL said they would automatically refund the guest and extend a 50 per cent discount on their voyage fare for use on a future cruise.

6,700 capacity
In 2024, DCL announced that the Disney Adventure would operate on three and four-night voyages from Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
It will be based in Singapore for at least five years as part of a partnership between Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board.
The estimated passenger capacity is 6,700, with around 2,500 crew members.
The cruise offers dedicated spaces and clubs for kids, tweens, and teens, as well as premium dining, lounge, and spa experiences for adults.
The Disney Adventure will feature seven themed areas.
Tickets for the cruise start from S$1,283 to S$13,021.
Mothership understands that guests who booked for the original maiden voyage will be automatically booked for the new maiden voyage date at a 50 per cent discount.
For those who are unable to make the new maiden voyage date, they can request a refund. They will also be given a 50 per cent discount on future cruises that must depart on or before Mar. 31, 2027.
