21.5°C weather suddenly descends upon Ang Mo Kio after days of sweltering heat

After many days very hot weather in Singapore, temperatures suddenly fell to 21.5°C in Ang Mo Kio on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025.

The cooling weather was accompanied by rainfall: Ang Mo Kio received the most precipitation since midnight.

The 21.5°C in Ang Mo Kio was recorded at around 8am, according to Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS).

The central region recorded the lowest temperatures islandwiwde.

Warm and humid nights

The Sunday morning chill was a stark contrast to the sweltering conditions in Singapore in the past week.

Temperatures hovered around the highs of 34°C on most days, while the lowest daily temperatures were about 25°C on average.

A few warm and humid nights saw temperatures hover above 28°C.

The sudden cool weather was accompanied by overcast skies and rain over all parts of Singapore since midnight on Sunday.

Thundery showers are expected in the late morning and afternoon on most days in first half of August 2025, MSS said previously.
