A man in Singapore spent his SG60 vouchers on Pokémon cards.
Posting about it on Instagram, the man @tako_boiii said he decided that household items, such as vegetables and cooking oil, were too ordinary and opted for Pokémon cards instead.
Not good enough

Cooking oil was among the items that @tako_boiii chose not to buy with his SG60 vouchers.
In his Instagram video on Jul. 28, he waved his finger at items such as vegetables, cooking oil, and body wash to Chinese rapper SKAI ISYOURGOD's "Ba Fang Lai Cai" song.
No to durians as well.
Durians, though loved by many Singaporeans, did not appeal to him either.
CDC vouchers accepted here

He entered a store with a sign saying it accepted CDC vouchers and picked out a few packs of Pokémon cards.
In response to many online queries asking where the store could be found, one online commenter said the store's name is TTZ ONE, which is just around the corner from Hougang MRT (NE14).
Another person was also curious about how much a pack of Pokémon cards cost.
As seen in the video, some packs cost S$8 each, while another pack cost S$12.

While most deemed the man's choices as his right to spend on what he wants, some who disagreed warned that the government could see it as an "abuse" of the voucher.
Where to redeem vouchers
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced at Budget 2025 that the SG60 vouchers are part of the SG60 package and can be used at all businesses that accept CDC vouchers.
The SG60 vouchers can be redeemed at RedeemSG by Singaporeans aged 21 to 59 or those born between 1966 and 2004.
