PM Wong to deliver National Day Message on Aug. 8
His second-ever National Day Message since assuming his role as prime minister.
Prime Minister, and Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong will be delivering his National Day Message on Aug. 8.
It will be his second National Day message delivered as prime minister.
The speech, delivered in English, will be broadcast on CNA and CNA938 at 6:40pm, said the Prime Minister's Office in a press release on Aug. 1.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong will deliver the message in Mandarin, while Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim will deliver the message in Malay.
Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash will deliver the message in Tamil.
The Malay broadcast will be at 8:30pm on Suria, while the Mandarin message will be at 8:40pm on Channel 8 and Capital 958.
The Tamil broadcast will be at 9pm on Vasantham and Oli 968.
The National Day Message in all four languages will be available on the PMO website and the PMO YouTube channel after the first broadcasts.
In his National Day Message last year, PM Wong spoke about building a better Singapore by creating more opportunities for Singaporeans, keeping Singapore's society resilient with stronger social support, and helping Singaporeans navigate the turbulent global climate by keeping the cost of living stable.
