Naomi Neo pays S$2,400 to Carouseller to catch NDP fireworks at S'pore hotel, ends up missing them after complications with seller
Unfortunate.
Local influencer Naomi Neo recently faced an unexpected setback during this year's NDP on Aug. 9.
In an Instagram Story posted on Aug. 12, the 29-year-old shared that she had booked a hotel, hoping to watch the NDP fireworks with her family.
According to Neo, she eventually settled for a night at the hotel through a Carouseller for S$2,400 after carefully browsing multiple listings on the app.

Did not manage to catch fireworks
However, things didn’t turn out as Neo had hoped on the day itself.
Although the initial check-in time was set for 3pm, the influencer shared that she still had not received any update from the seller by 3:30pm.
She explained that the Carouseller was just a middleman, and the seller was apparently stuck at customs with no estimated time of arrival.
While waiting for a response, she decided to walk around the area with her family.
However, by 7:30pm, she still had not received a response from the seller.
Neo and her family eventually opted to take the train for dinner, as they didn't want to drive due to the jam.
In the end, they didn't manage to catch the fireworks in time.
The aftermath
At 10:30pm, Neo and her family returned to the hotel to collect their luggage from the concierge before driving home.
On the following day, Neo was contacted by the seller, who offered another room as "compensation".
The seller also assured her a refund.
However, as of Aug. 12, Neo said she has yet to receive her money back.
