M'sian woman, 19, found hanging from fan allegedly harassed by security guard before death

A 19-year-old female student in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, was allegedly sexually harassed by a security guard on her college campus before her murder.

Her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her family home on Aug. 14.

Further investigations by local police suggest that she was strangled to death.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the teenager had complained to her father that a security guard on campus had sexually harassed and exposed his genitals to her.

Her father had urged her to call the police, but she did not do so out of fear.

She allegedly told a lecturer in the computer science department about the harassment, and told her father she felt uncomfortable on campus.

The student last contacted the family on the afternoon of Aug. 13.

She was found in the living room on the morning of Aug. 14 by her father, who then called the police.

He first saw his daughter's car in the yard.

He then found her in the living room on the top floor of the family home.

Autopsy reports showed that the woman had injuries on her hands, feet, and buttocks.

Abrasions were also found on her intimate area, though police are still waiting for a test report to determine if she was sexually assaulted.

Police are currently tracking down the guard to assist in investigations.
