The Hunt The Mouse cash hunt game is back in Singapore for a 43-day period from Aug. 14 to Sep. 25, 2025.

Sqkii, the gamification company behind the treasure hunt game, announced the start of the game on Thursday.

200 coins worth S$600 each

The SG60 special edition of the cash hunt game, brought to the masses by Sqkii and DBS, is to celebrate Singapore’s 60 years of nation-building and the heartlands.

A total of 200 silver DBS Heartland game coins, each worth S$600, will be progressively hidden across various heartland locations in Singapore.

The total cash prize pool is S$120,000.

The game is open to the public.

Sqkii said: "This edition aims to encourage players to get together with family and friends and spend more time in the heartlands to discover hidden gems and support local merchants through an engaging and gamified experience."

2 new features

This special SG60 cash hunt has two new features to allow players to rediscover and reconnect with Singapore’s rich heartland heritage and support local food and merchants.

These two features are:

Places of Interest

When GPS is enabled, players receive bite-sized historical, cultural, or future-facing facts about nearby locales.

Hunting Stops

These are areas located at selected bus stops and heartland zones across Singapore.

This feature encourages players to explore the heartlands via public transport.

Players can perform simple in-game actions, such as tickling Sqkii & Friends, to receive rewards like DBS Crystals and power-ups to get ahead in the game even when not physically hunting for game coins.

Players who visit the special DBS Hunting Stops located at selected heartland zones can also get enhanced in-game rewards.

Power-ups

There are power-ups to help players get ahead in their hunt.

To use these power-ups, players have to perform simple actions at Hunting Stops to earn Crystals for the activation of these power-ups.

1. Circle Shrink: Shrink circles to narrow down selected game coin location.

2. Coin Sonar: This power-up allows players to scan the area around them to zoom in to a more precise game coin location.

There are three scan ranges: 25m, 50m, or 100m, each requiring different numbers of Crystals.

Each scan gives the player instant feedback on whether the game coin is within their selected range.

3. Metal Detector: Players can activate this power-up when inside any game coin circle to turn their phone into a metal detector in search of the game coin.

It scans the surrounding vicinity for one minute and provides visual feedback on the proximity to the game coin as the player moves around.

Follow Sqkii for clues

Players can follow Sqkii on Instagram and Facebook for the daily hint that will be released at 6pm for one specific DBS Heartland coin, as well as the real-time map on the game website to locate other game coins and exchange them for cash.

Players can get visual hints on a real-time map on the game website to locate the coins.

Hints will also be posted daily on social media from day one.

Circles on the in-game map, which indicate possible DBS Heartland game coin locations, will shrink every 30 minutes between 8am to 12pm.

Players are reminded that they do not need to trespass onto property or put themselves in danger to find the coins.
