Woman stands in parking lot at Geylang Lor 39, threatens to call police

A woman in Singapore allegedly attempted to reserve a parking space by standing in the lot located at Geylang Lorong 39.

The incident was caught on video and uploaded to Singapore Road Accidents' Facebook page on Aug. 27, where the driver shared more about the interaction.

In the video, the woman could be seen gesturing downwards, possibly to indicate that she was reserving the space for another vehicle.

Woman allegedly scolded driver's mother

Despite the driver honking continuously at her, she refused to move and was later spotted making a phone call while standing in the lot.

She eventually stepped onto the footpath, allowing the car to park.

The driver then claimed that the woman had "allegedly scolded his mother", which prompted him to confront her.

Threatened to call police when confronted

During the altercation, the woman was joined by her son, who explained that she had been standing in the lot first as their car was "on the way".

The woman then instructed her son to record the driver in retaliation and call the police.

She also demanded that the driver stop recording them.

After some time, the woman’s husband arrived and angrily accused the driver of “[bullying] small kids and women” and violating their privacy.

The driver claimed that police officers eventually came down to the scene to defuse the situation, asking both parties to apologise to one another.

It was not revealed which vehicle took the parking spot in the end.
