Mediacorp's period drama "Emerald Hill" is currently airing in Taiwan.

The show premiered on Aug. 4 on Taiwan's free-to-air channel Chinese Television System (CTS).

It will air from 8pm to 9pm on weeknights.

This marks the Taiwanese public broadcaster's first-ever acquisition of a Singapore drama for a primetime slot.

The period drama was also recently acquired by Shanghai Media Group and is expected to air on China's Dragon TV later this year.

In a press statement, Virginia Lim, chief content officer at Mediacorp, said:

"'Emerald Hill'’s primetime debut on CTS is another strong endorsement of our content. We hope this vivid window into the Peranakan world finds a special place in the hearts and homes of Taiwanese audiences, and we remain deeply committed to exporting the best of Mediacorp to the world."

About Emerald Hill

"Emerald Hill" is a standalone spin-off of the popular 2008 Chinese drama "The Little Nyonya".

The series premiered in Singapore in 2025, drawing over 1.67 million viewers on Channel 8 and mewatch, excluding global and regional platforms.

It also became the first Mediacorp Chinese drama to debut at #1 on Netflix Singapore.
