BMW driver, 27, arrested at Woodlands for drug offences, possessing weapons, vapes & unpaid-duty cigarettes

A 27-year-old male driver of a BMW was arrested for possession of weapons and suspected drug-related offences at Woodlands.
According to the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the Police received a call for assistance at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 2 and Woodlands Avenue 5 on Aug. 6 at 5:45am.
The man was arrested for offences under the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958, Gun, Explosive and Weapons Control Act 2021, and suspected drug-related offences.
The Straits Times reported that the man is suspected of possessing knife-related weapons.
E-cigarettes and unpaid-duty cigarettes were found in his vehicle, and will be referred to the Health Sciences Authority and Singapore Customs, respectively.
The suspected drug-related offences have also been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.
Investigations are ongoing, said SPF.
In a Facebook post by SG Road Vigilante, the driver was photographed sitting on the curb with his arm cuffed behind his back.
