10 women, aged 31 to 42, arrested after police raid MacPherson massage parlour used as brothel

10 women have been arrested for their alleged involvement in syndicated vice activities at a massage parlour along MacPherson Road.

The women, aged between 31 and 42, were caught during a police raid on Aug. 28.

One of the women, 39, will be charged in court today (Aug. 30) under suspicion of operating the parlour as a brothel, the police said.

Under the Women's Charter 1961, she may face up to seven years' imprisonment and a fine of up to S$100,000 for profiting off the prostitution of another person.

For her role in helping to manage the brothel, she may also face up to five years' imprisonment, a fine of S$100,000, or both.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
