Heading out for lunch over the next two weeks? Remember to bring an umbrella.

In the first half of July 2025, localised short-duration thundery showers are expected over parts of Singapore in the late morning and afternoon on most days, according to a Jul. 1 media advisory issued by the Meteorological Service Singapore.

On a few days, Sumatra squalls may bring widespread thundery showers and gusty winds in the pre-dawn and morning.

The total rainfall for the first fortnight of the month is forecast to be near average over most parts of Singapore.

Hot days & nights

Despite the rain, most days in the first half of July 2025 are expected to be hot.

The daily maximum temperatures are likely to range between 33°C and 34 °C on most days.

On a few days, the daily maximum temperatures may exceed 34°C slightly.

Several nights may be warm and humid as well, with temperatures potentially staying above 28°C.

2nd half of June 2025 hot & dry

The second half of June 2025 was hot and dry, even though localised short-duration thundery showers fell over parts of Singapore on several days.

Most parts of the island recorded below average rainfall over the last two weeks, with the area around Jurong West registering a rainfall of 69 per cent below average.

On most days in the second fortnight of June 2025, the daily maximum temperatures ranged between 32°C and 34°C.

The highest daily maximum temperature of 35.3°C was recorded at Paya Lebar on Jun. 22.
