Three men have been arrested for allegedly breaking into an apartment complex in Osaka, Japan, tying a woman's wrist, and sexually assaulting her last month.
Takashi Yamashita, 44, Takashi Soma, 32, and Li Bo Lun, 23, allegedly met on social media with the intention of committing sexual assault, NHK News and Asahi reported.
Li is a Chinese vocational school student from Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, Osaka.
Reportedly do not know each other
The three men reportedly do not know each other personally and called each other by a single letter of the alphabet on the day of the incident.
Security camera footage taken around the scene showed a person believed to be Li tailgating different residents of the apartment to enter through the automatic door.
The three suspects used a knife to threaten a woman in her 20s who was returning home, forced her into a room, tied her wrists, and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
They also tied up a man in his 20s when he returned to the house, threatening him with a knife, stripped him of his clothes, and restraining his wrists and ankles.
During police questioning, Li reportedly told the police that he was "interested in sexual assault".
