S'pore Grab delivery man arrives, plays piano beautifully at Tanjong Pagar MRT, leaves
We're all in the mood for a melody.
A Grab delivery driver was spotted at Tanjong Pagar MRT station playing a public piano for two and a half minutes, before getting up, collecting his delivery, and getting on with his day with nary a wave.
From the beginning
In a TikTok video posted on Jul. 25, a person garbed in the green sun shirt of a Grab delivery driver could be seen seated in front of a public piano in Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
The driver is completely covered up, lending an air of mystery to him, dressed in long sleeves, gloves, long trousers, and even wearing a black balaclava under a motorcycle helmet.Placed on the side of the piano is a plastic bag with three containers of food, neatly tied closed.
In front of him is perched his phone, although it does not appear that the driver has any type of sheet music to aid his playing.
The driver’s fingers confidently and effortlessly float across the keyboard while his feet work the pedals.
He plays a confident rendition of a K-Drama soundtrack — the video says it is "From the Beginning Until Now", from "Winter Sonata".
In the background, life continues, but he gathers a small crowd behind him, who have whipped out their own phones to record him.

And while at one point, he appears to hesitate, he continues onwards to the piece’s conclusion.
Until now
Finishing with a final flourish, the crowd begins to clap.
But the delivery man has little time for his fans, and as the last note is played, he simply stands up, picks up his charge, giving nothing more than a slight wave to acknowledge the crowd.
Then he turns the corner and is gone.
