Ang Mo Kio Public Library relocating to AMK Hub in 2026
The library was officially opened 40 years ago in 1985.
Ang Mo Kio Public Library will be relocating to AMK Hub in 2026, announced the National Library Board (NLB) in a Jul. 1 Facebook post.
Till then, patrons can continue enjoying the learning resources, services, and facilities of the library at its current site at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.
According to NLB, the library's relocation will enhance accessibility for patrons and commuters through the mall's connection to Ang Mo Kio MRT station and bus interchange.
However, the Facebook post did not state which floor of AMK Hub the library will be moving to.
Officially opened 40 years ago in 1985, the library shut its doors temporarily in 2002 for upgrading works and reopened in 2003.
The site it currently occupies has been reserved for "future high-rise development", according to a Housing and Development Board (HDB) brochure introducing Central Trio @ AMK, a Built-to-Order (BTO) project launched in October 2024.

What to expect at relocated library
The relocated Ang Mo Kio Public Library is scheduled to open in 2026, said NLB.
While further details will be announced when ready, NLB said patrons can look forward to enjoying "a refreshed library experience" at the library's new space.
Besides featuring tall wall bookshelves and elements inspired by iconic landmarks of Ang Mo Kio, the library also promises to offer "new immersive and interactive experiences" for patrons to engage with.
