Whatsapp38 individuals, including private college students, were arrested in Malaysia in the early morning of Jul. 21 for consuming and trafficking drugs.

According to Malaysian media, local police conducted a raid of a private party in a luxury residence in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, just after midnight.

Subang Jaya's district police chief said 6.5g of cannabis and 1.7g of ketamine were seized during the operation.

It is unclear if the raid was targeting the presence of drugs, or how the police was tipped off about the party.

The ages of those arrested ranged from 18 to 27 years old, the police chief said, adding that 13 foreigners were among the 38 who were caught.

Four of them, between 21 and 25 years old, are suspected of being involved in drug trafficking.

Another 12, including nine locals and three foreigners, also tested positive for drug consumption.

These 12 were detained by police to aid in further investigations, while the others were eventually released, Bernama said.

Investigations are still ongoing.
