A group of Thai men beat two foreign tourists unconscious after they allegedly assaulted a local woman while intoxicated at a nightspot in Phuket’s Patong area.
The incident on Bangla Road, a popular nightlife strip in Patong, Kathu district in Thailand, was caught on camera and shared online on Jun. 2.
What happened
The two tourists were allegedly seen attacking a Thai woman inside a local nightspot.
Several Thai men, who were nearby, then intervened.
They chased the tourists away and physically attacked them, according to witnesses.
The two tourists were reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
The moment the Thai men rushed at the two foreigners, punching and kicking them until they collapsed to the ground, was seen on video.
Local authorities have not released any information about the incident, according to Bangkok Post.
The identities and nationalities of the tourists remain undisclosed and it is unclear if charges will be pressed.

Many commenters expressed support for the Thai men’s actions, as they were defending the woman.
Some slammed the acts of violence and said they should have left it to the authorities to deal with the situation.
