Man, 22, & girlfriend wrestled with another man, 36, at Shanghai Disneyland after getting photobombed

A fight broke out between two men, aged 22 and 36, at Shanghai Disneyland resort on May 31.

At one point during the scuffle, the younger man's girlfriend was caught on camera trying to poke the older man's eyes before pushing his wife and young daughter forcefully.

The fight went on for more than a minute before onlookers intervened and a police report was lodged.

In a Jun. 1 statement, Shanghai police identified the older man as Liu and the younger man as Yan.

Fight took place in front of children

The scene of the fight was caught on camera by onlookers, and videos were subsequently uploaded to Weibo.

According to the videos, the dispute took place in front of several onlookers, including children, near a shop inside the resort.

After wrestling each other for a while, Liu, dressed in a white t-shirt, could be seen punching Yan, dressed in a black t-shirt, with his fist, causing Yan's hat to fall off.

As a result, Yan's girlfriend dashed over and tried to pull Liu away.

At the same time, Liu's wife, also dressed in white, could be seen trying to pull Yan's girlfriend away with one hand while holding onto her daughter with the other hand.

Yan's girlfriend tried poking Liu's eyes, pushed his wife & daughter

After Yan's girlfriend tried poking Liu's eyes, Liu pushed her away.

Yan's girlfriend then went over to where Liu's wife was standing and pushed her and her daughter forcefully.

In response, Liu's wife knelt down and began to cry.

Later on, when Liu's wife noticed that her husband had fallen to the ground, she stood up and asked the parties not to fight anymore.

At that time, three onlookers could be seen gathering around Yan, his girlfriend, and Liu, with one of them holding Yan back to prevent him from continuing fighting.

Nevertheless, Yan's girlfriend continued wrestling with Liu.

Onlookers & resort employee intervened

Yan's girlfriend was eventually pushed to the side after more onlookers and a resort employee stepped in to stop the fight.

As a result of the altercation, her dress became unbuttoned.

After checking in on her husband, Liu's wife asked Yan and his girlfriend why they did what they did to her family, alleging that it was the couple who called them "idiots" first.

In response, Yan's girlfriend asked, "So, you are offended just because I called you 'idiots'?"

Just as their conversation began to escalate, a resort employee intervened and escorted Liu and his wife away from Yan and his girlfriend.

The videos ended without showing the aftermath of the fight.

Police investigations ongoing

On Jun. 1, Shanghai police released a statement on its Weibo page, confirming that they received a report regarding the dispute at around 6pm on May 31.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Yan and his girlfriend were taking photos when Liu, his wife, and their daughter entered the photo frame.

The two parties subsequently engaged in an argument, which escalated into a physical fight.

As a result, Yan and Liu sustained minor injuries, and Liu's daughter was unhurt.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
