Teen, 15, arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycle from Pasir Ris block
He will be charged with theft of a motor vehicle on Jun. 19.
A 15-year-old teenage boy was arrested after he allegedly stole a motorcycle parked at the open space car park of Block 107 Pasir Ris Street 12 on Jun. 17.
He will be charged in court on Jun. 19 with theft of a motor vehicle, which carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine, according to a Jun. 18 news release issued by the Singapore Police Force.
Arrested within 16 hours of police report
According to the police, they were alerted to the alleged theft at around 1:20pm on Tuesday.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the boy and arrested him within 16 hours of the report.
The stolen motorcycle was also recovered.
