Woman in UK street interview says S'pore had 'no personality', was expecting to see something 'old' or with an 'ancient' story

A TikToker based in London, @emma_a_cosmos2, posted a TikTok video interview with two women who shared their experience travelling to Singapore.

The channel's content consists mainly of street interviews where he asks people about their experiences in other countries around the world.

The video was posted on Jun. 18.

In the beginning of the video, the two women are asked if there was a country that they would never want to visit.

One of the women replied saying that she did not have a country in mind.

However, she added that she had been to "a country that [she] didn't like that much".

When prompted by the TikToker, she revealed that that country was Singapore.

"There was no personality"

When asked about her experience, her first response was that she felt Singapore had "no personality".

"It was kind of like a bit cold and we were expecting seeing something like old like the ancient... so we thought, are we missing out on something?"

Cold in this context appears to be describing the general feel of the country rather than temperature.

In response to the video, commenters have raised the point that, for better or worse, Singapore is not a country that one would typically see as "ancient" or "old".

At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 131,000 views on TikTok.
