Heading to Thailand soon for the June holidays?
You might want to pack some brollies, as Thailand's Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains and flood risks between Jun. 7 and 12, 2025.
Increased rainfall is expected in the North, the Upper Northeast, and Greater Bangkok, according to the Bangkok Post.
The Andaman Coast and the East will also see more rain.
Moreover, from Jun. 13 to 21, thunderstorms are likely to persist in upper Thailand.
Meanwhile, the southern region of Thailand may experience temporary decreases in rainfall.
All the same, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reported a stronger monsoon season, bringing heavy to very heavy rain in monsoon-affected provinces along the coast and in the East.
Though there are no forecasts of tropical cyclones forming, a low-pressure area is expected to develop over the upper South China Sea around Jun. 13.
