Resorts World Sentosa's S.E.A. Aquarium, which has been closed since April 2025, will officially open as the Singapore Oceanarium on Jul. 23.

The oceanarium will be three times bigger than its predecessor, and will include 22 zones that "span across space (from shallow waters to the deep sea) and time (from prehistoric oceans to the present day)".
These zones include the moon jellies at "Ocean Wonders" and mangroves at "Singapore's Coast".

Visitors can also take a step back into the past to learn more about evolution and fossils at "Ancient Water" and "Conquering Land".

Fret not, the oceanarium's manta rays and zebra sharks can still be seen through a 36m-wide viewing panel at the "Open Ocean".
More details on programmes and ticket prices will be revealed soon.
Research and Learning Centre
Right next to the oceanarium is a new Research and Learning Centre focusing on marine research and conservation.

The centre is equipped with immersive learning labs, collaborative workspaces, seminar rooms and a rooftop event space.
Here, scientists and researchers can also conduct their marine science outreach on-site.
This is part of a five-year applied research collaboration the Singapore Oceanarium has with the National University of Singapore, and a two-year research collaboration with the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University on climate resilience and marine conservation.
The centre is also a certified Green Mark Platinum Zero Energy building that uses solar power and smart design to reduce its environmental impact.
