Mothership’s biggest Disney fan shares highlights of the new Disney Adventure
A dream is a wish your heart makes.
When Walt Disney opened Disneyland in 1955, he said it was a place where “age relives fond memories of the past… and here youth may savour the challenge and promise of the future.”
Those not deep into Disney lore may think it sounds like fluff, but all Disney attractions, including Disney cruises, share this sentiment.
As Mothership’s biggest Disney fan, I am not exaggerating when I say Disney does wonders in giving guests an immersive experience that leaves them feeling magical and in awe.
For those who have never had a Disney experience or those dreaming of another Disney escapade, here’s what you can look forward to on the Disney Adventure.
Mickey-shaped waffles, bubble teas, character dining & more
Where Mickey-shaped waffles are a staple, you can be sure that the food and drinks on the Disney Adventure will be inspired by some of the favourite Disney films.
At the stern of the ship, the Disney Discovery Reef will feature its own bubble tea café, called Bewitching Boba and Brews, drawing inspiration from Disney villains like Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” for a wicked twist on bubble teas and brews.
For those craving premium dining, Mike and Sulley’s—Flavors of Asia will offer four distinct dining options: a full-service Japanese steakhouse, a Teppanyaki room, Omakase-style dining, and an outdoor sushi-sashimi experience.
But what sets a Disney dining experience apart is its unique immersive dining.
Guests will enjoy three distinct Disney dining experiences that are included within their preset dining schedule. All covered within the cruise fare.
Here are a few restaurants guests can enjoy:
Animator’s Palate or Animator’s Table will celebrate the filmmaking legacy of Disney and Pixar Animation while guests enjoy their meals and watch their drawings come to life around them.
Guests can also go to Enchanted Summer Restaurant with its two distinct dining rooms inspired by Disney’s Tangled or Frozen.
While Pixar Market Restaurant offers buffet-style breakfasts and lunches, it also offers seated dinners in the evening, with menus featuring regional and international cuisines.

Guests can also dine with some of their favourite characters and create everlasting memories with musical performances featuring Mickey Mouse and friends at the Hollywood Spotlight Club or Navigator’s Club.

You can be sure that there are even more dining options around the ship that would leave your stomach and heart full.
Thrills and spills
It’s fun and games on the Disney Adventure for guests of all ages.
Guests can enjoy the slides and other fun splash zones at Toy Story Place, which includes the Sunnyside Family Pool, Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides, the Toy Story Splash Pad (for toddlers and young children), and several whirlpool spas.
For those seeking thrills, Marvel Landing on the ship’s upper deck will feature three new attractions: Groot Galaxy Spin, Pym Quantum Racers and the first-ever roller coaster aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, Ironcycle Test Run.
This will also be the longest roller coaster at sea, spanning over 250 metres.

For the gamers, Big Hero Arcade at San Fransokyo Street features video games and immersive experiences.
Entertainment and shopping
What is Disney without some entertainment?
For the magic of singing and storytelling, guests can head to the Walt Disney Theatre at the heart of Town Square to catch Broadway-style shows such as “Remember”, exclusive to the Disney Adventure.
Disney Imagination Garden will feature all-new live stage shows like “Avengers Assemble!” and “Duffy and The Friend Ship”.
Or journey with Captain Jack Sparrow in his own show, “Captain Jack Sparrow & the Siren Queen”.

At Wayfinder Bay, guests can relax by the pool area, which features a massive screen that doubles as a performance venue for interactive events and live shows, such as “Moana: Call of the Sea.”
At Town Square, little ones who aspire to be princesses, knights, or sea captains can head to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and visit the Royal Society for Friendships and Tea for a royal tea party.

And for the first time on a Disney Cruise, guests of all ages can head to the Marvel Style Studio to transform into their favourite Super Heroes from the Marvel Universe.

It would not be a quintessential Disney experience without Disney movies playing on board the ship.
Those at Toy Story Place can enjoy watching Disney films on two jumbo screens, while the Baymax Cinemas at San Fransokyo Street will show classic or first-release Disney movies.
A whole new world for adults
While young children and teens can fill their days at Edge and Vibe at San Fransokyo Street youth clubs and Disney’s Oceaneer Club (for those aged three to 10), adults can find their own space to enjoy.
In the Rainforest Room, which features experiential showers, heated loungers, and a dry sauna, adults can relax and rejuvenate at the Infinite Bliss Spa -Elemis at Sea.
In addition, the fitness centre onboard the Disney Adventure will have state-of-the-art equipment, a juice bar, a meditation room, and dedicated cycling and yoga spaces.
If you wish to dine at an adults-only restaurant, Palo Trattoria serves Northern Italian cuisine paired with a curated selection of fine Italian wines.
Those who like a beverage or two can head to the Buccaneer Bar, a pub inspired by Captain Hook from Peter Pan, or relax at Taverna Portorosso, a sports bar inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Luca.

For specialty coffees, premium teas, and creative mocktails, guests can visit Tiana’s Bayou Lounge and even try the classic New Orleans treat, beignets.

Perhaps the most enchanting place for adults is Spellbound, a hideaway inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, tucked away in the corners of Town Square.
This bar will offer tempting “potions” to savour and enjoy that could leave you wanting more.
Bed fit for royalty
After all the feasting, activities, and entertainment, guests can retire to their rooms and get their beauty sleep before the next day.

While the Disney Adventure offers a wide array of rooms, guests who feel like treating themselves like royalty can elevate their holiday at sea at Concierge Suites and Staterooms.
You would receive exclusive perks, including priority boarding, access to private areas such as the Concierge lounge and sundeck, and a dedicated team to attend to your needs, making your holiday at sea a lavish experience.
