Very heavy traffic expected at Woodlands & Tuas checkpoints during June holidays & Hari Raya Haji weekend
You have been warned.

Those thinking of taking a trip to Johor, Malaysia, take note.
The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) warned travellers of "very heavy" traffic expected at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints during the upcoming June school holidays and the Hari Raya Haji weekend.
In its travel advisory, ICA said travellers should expect longer waiting times to clear immigration from May 31 to Jun. 29, with the Hari Raya Haji weekend falling on June 6 to 9.
ICA advised travellers to check the traffic situation at the land checkpoints, and those who need to travel during the period can consider taking the cross-border bus services to avoid congestion.
ICA said:
"We seek travellers' understanding to cooperate with ICA officers, observe traffic rules and maintain lane discipline. ICA will not hesitate to take stern action against travellers who do not comply with officers' instructions and commit offences at the checkpoints."
Previously, during the Vesak Day long weekend from May 8 to 13, Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints saw over three million travellers.
The traveller volume peaked on May 9 with over 546,000 travellers clearing the land checkpoints in one day.
Due to traffic tailbacks from Malaysia, cars travelling during peak periods had to wait up to three hours for immigration clearance.
Actual time taken to clear immigration could be longer, according to those who have travelled during peak periods..
Reminders
To ensure a smoother journey, travellers are reminded to ensure that their passports have a remaining validity of at least six months.
Motorists are advised to check the traffic situation at the land checkpoints before embarking on their journeys and to refrain from queue cutting as it can cause severe congestion and compromise the safety of other motorists.
Errant motorists caught queue-cutting will be turned away and made to re-queue, ICA warned.
Those travelling by bus are encouraged to use QR codes for faster and more convenient immigration clearance.
Travellers can use it at QR code-enabled automated lanes and Special Assistance Lanes (SAL) in the bus halls.
