Trump says countries are 'kissing my ass' to make deals on tariffs
He was speaking at a fundraising dinner.
U.S. president Donald Trump recently spoke at a National Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner on Apr. 8 (United States time).
In his speech, he expressed confidence that Republicans would win the midterm elections in a "tremendous, thundering landslide".
He also criticised lawmakers who were against his tariffs.
He followed that up by detailing how negotiations were going so far with countries that have been hit by the tariffs.
He said: "I'm telling you, these countries are calling us up. Kissing my ass, they are dying to make a deal, please sir, make a deal, I'll do anything sir."
