A man in Singapore was driving along the Kranji Expressway (KJE) when he caught sight of a wild sambar deer.
Hoping to avoid it, he slowed down.
But he ended up colliding into a second deer, which had been trailing after the first.
He uploaded dashcam footage of the incident, which took place on Mar. 28, to Reddit.
The deer had been running across towards the KJE, he said.
"Not sure what they were doing there."
Ran it off
From the dashcam footage, the car could be seen moving at a relatively chill 50-65 km/h.
When the first deer appeared in the windscreen, the driver honked at it and slowed down.
But he was caught off guard when a second deer quickly followed the first.
Despite hitting the brakes, the car collided into the deer with an audible thud.
"Oh my goodness," he was heard exclaiming.

Fortunately, the deer appeared relatively unhurt, and ran off after a brief pause.
"I didn't see the second one," he was later heard telling a woman in the passenger seat.
Sambar deer
The animal in question was likely a sambar deer, a species of deer native to Singapore.
Once believed locally extinct due to poaching and habitat loss, the species resurfaced in the 1970s.
The current population of deer are likely descendants of escapees from the Singapore Zoo.
One of the largest deer species in the world, the sambar deer mostly inhabits wooded habitats, and is most active at dusk and at night.
It is currently listed as a vulnerable species, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
