Shawn Loh, ex-MOF budget director, spotted at Jalan Besar event with Josephine Teo holding PAP fan
Could he be fielded in Jalan Besar GRC?
Shawn Loh was a senior civil servant with the Ministry of Finance, responsible for overseeing Budgets 2024 and 2025 as the Director of Security and Resilience Programmes.
The 38-year-old resigned recently, sparking speculation that he could run in the upcoming general election.
On Apr. 6, 2025, Loh was seen at a Jalan Besar GRC community event along with Members of Parliament Denise Phua, Wan Rizal Wan Zakariah, Heng Chee How and Josephine Teo, who is also Minister for Digital Development & Information.
He was also spotted holding a fan that read "PAP Jalan Besar".

The event was to introduce Jalan Besar's "Five-Year Plan" to the residents, with upgrading works such as renovating Kim Seng Community Centre and building more BTO flats.
Loh started his public service career at the Ministry of Education's planning division.
He joined MOF in 2023, and was in the strategy group at the Prime Minister's Office from Sep. 2016 to Mar. 2020.
His resignation officially takes place today, Apr. 6.
