The Social Outcast restaurant at Katong to shut its doors after Mar. 30

The Social Outcast, a restaurant in Katong, has announced its final day.
After five years, the woodfire restaurant along East Coast Road announced on Mar. 8 that its last day of operations will be on Mar. 30.
To mark the end, the restaurant will hold a BBQ block party on Mar. 29 and 30 from 3pm onwards.
"We smashed every goal, rocked every milestone, and now? Time to recharge, celebrate, and dive into our next big adventure."
The two founders of The Social Outcast shared that the closure was planned for at least a year and this was a pause for them to "reset, restart, refocus".
The founders shared that during their break, they would be doing pop-up events, online projects, or even private dining: "Sincerely from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, each one of you. Because without you, our dream can only last so far."
The Social Outcast started as a hawker stall in Tampines Street 22 that specialised in charcoal-grilled burgers.
