S'pore police arrest man, 25 & 2 women, both 26, for suspected involvement in vice-related activities

The Singapore police have arrested a 25-year-old man and two 26-year-old women for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
The police conducted raids on Mar. 7 that resulted in the arrest of the three persons.
Officers from the Specialised Crime Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were involved.
Cash amounting to more than S$5,500 and vice-related paraphernalia were seized from the scene.
The man allegedly operated an online vice syndicate that involved the two women, who were arrested under the Women’s Charter 1961.
The man will be charged in court on Mar. 8 with an offence under the Women’s Charter 1961.
Investigations against the two women are ongoing.
The police said they will continue to take tough enforcement action against those involved in syndicated vice activities.
Under the Women’s Charter 1961, any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person could be jailed up to seven years and also fined up to S$100,000.
A person in or outside Singapore who uses a remote communication service with a Singapore link that offers or facilitates the provision by a woman or girl to another person of sexual services in Singapore for monetary gain could be jailed up to five years or fined up to S$100,000, or both.
Any person who keeps, manages or assists in the management of a place of assignation could be jailed up to five years and fined up to S$100,000.
