Sports car driver, 37, allegedly high on laughing gas, arrested near Orchard Road
There were no injuries reported, said the police.
A 37-year-old male sports car driver was arrested and assisting with police investigations for a rash act after he was suspected to be intoxicated with nitrous oxide, colloquially known as laughing gas, in Somerset on Mar. 29 afternoon.
The scene of the man's arrest was caught on camera by an onlooker, and the photo was shared with Shin Min Daily News.
In the photo, a black sports car could be seen parked between two police vehicles.
A woman, dressed in a black top, was sitting on the kerb of a pedestrian walkway.
Likewise, the male driver, also dressed in a black t-shirt, could be seen sitting nearby, along the same kerb.
At least five police officers were present at the scene, with two standing next to the woman and three surrounding the male driver.
However, the Shin Min report did not mention who alerted the police or what the male driver had done to raise eyebrows.

Misusing laughing gas can be harmful & dangerous
Laughing gas, which is commonly used in dental and medical anaesthesia, gains its name from its euphoric effect, reported CNA.
Although Singapore has not outlawed laughing gas due to its legitimate uses, abusing the substance can cause harmful and dangerous side effects, such as loss of balance, mild hallucinations, and increased risk of asphyxiation.
Those who are addicted to laughing gas are encouraged to approach the National Addicition Management Services (NAMS) to seek help, said the Central Narcotics Bureau.
