Syed Harun walking the ground at Nee Soon, Nee Soon GRC MP Faishal Ibrahim seen at Marine Parade

Former NMP Syed Harun Alhabsyi has been on the ground with Nee Soon GRC MPs, and he has been spotted at Nee Soon GRC events multiple times.

Speaking to the media at the sidelines of a Hari Raya engagement at Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim in Seletar, Harun said that he had been at Nee Soon to see some of the challenges and issues in the community and learn from some of Nee Soon GRC MPs.

Without confirming if he will be running in GE2025, Harun said he was:

"putting (himself) forward to be able to serve in whatever capacity that's possible in the future and I look forward to continuing my service for the country."

Will Nee Soon GRC MP Faishal Ibrahim be fielded in Marine Parade?

Syed Harun was present at the event with Nee Soon GRC MPs K Shanmugam, Louis Ng, Carrie Tan, and Derrick Goh, and PAP new face Jackson Lam who is a director of a cleaning service and pest control company.

Faishal Ibrahim, who takes care of Nee Soon Central, was not present. He was spotted at walkabouts in Marine Parade recently, which led to speculation that he might be fielded there in the coming election.

When asked if this is true, Shanmugam said:

"It's difficult for me to give you a very sort of complete final answer. That's decided by the CEC.

But as people can see, he is spending a lot of time in Marine Parade, and I think that is one indication of what might happen."
