Taiwan actor Darren Wang reportedly under investigation for attempted murder

Taiwanese actor Darren Wang is reportedly under investigation for attempted murder, after he allegedly assaulted a ride-hailing driver and dispatcher.

Wang recently made headlines for evading military duties by forging documents.

Taiwanese news outlet TVBS reported that Wang called for a car to pick him up after arriving at Taiwan's Taoyuan airport.

When the car arrived, he was unsatisfied with the vehicle, and allegedly beat up both the driver and the dispatcher.

TVBS reported that Wang and another man, identified only by his surname You, are under investigation for attempted murder.

China Times quoted Wang's manager as saying that they are "in the midst of understanding" what has happened.

Wang was scheduled to enlist in the military later this month.

However, China Times stated that his enlistment might be affected due to ongoing investigations.
