Car catches fire along Tampines St 31 during morning peak hour
The fire appeared to have started at the undercarriage of the car.
A car caught fire along Tampines Street 31 on Mar. 6 during morning peak hour.
Footage of the incident was shared online and in Telegram chats.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the incident at around 7:20am.
SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a Compressed Air Foam (CAF) backpack.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Based on available photos and videos, the vehicle on fire was likely a Mercedes.
The fire appeared to have originated from the undercarriage.
It subsequently engulfed the whole car.
The car appeared completely damaged by the fire.
